Set clear workout goals

Ensure that you have a clear plan of action for what you are going to do before heading into your fitness facility. A pre-planned workout routine will help ensure you stay focussed and get the most out of your time in the gym. Whether you're using cardio machines or training benches, having structure is key to an effective workout.

Prepare your gym bag

✔ Essential Gear: Ensure you have all the necessary equipment, including workout clothes, comfortable shoes, a towel, and a gym bag.

✔ Workout Accessories: If you use specific accessories like resistance bands, weight plates or a yoga mat, pack them in your bag.

✔ Hygiene Products: Bring personal care items in a small toiletry bag like deodorant, antibacterial hand soap, body spray and a hairbrush.

✔ Headphones: if you are someone who likes, or needs, music to get you through your workout make sure your headphones are packed and playlists are ready

✔ Water Bottle: A reusable water bottle helps keep you hydrated throughout your workout. Some fitness facilities also have water fountains available.

✔ Hair Ties: If you have long hair, keeping hair ties handy prevents distractions during exercises.

Fuel your body

✔ Pre-Workout Meal:

Consume a nutrient-rich meal 1-2 hours before your workout. Include carbohydrates for sustained energy and protein for muscle repair. Proper nutrition enhances performance and reduces the risk of accidents during intense exercise.
