Undercover athletes are hiding in plain sight, we want to find and celebrate them.

It all started with Josh from our finance team. Word got round the office that he was an elite marathon runner in his spare time, which as awful as it is to say, surprised us. Why? How did he have time to be an excel wizard 9 to 5 and running elite level marathons? After discovering more about his amazing achievements, we started thinking. Who else is out there achieving these unexpected but amazing things and how can we celebrate them?

So, we’ve set up a competition to give away a lifelong membership and four 1-year long memberships to the undercover elite athletes in our gyms. Whether you’re cycling 100 miles at the weekend but wiring houses during the day, or a mum of 3 who competes in weightlifting. We want to hear from you and celebrate your story because we don’t think you should be undercover anymore (and we’re sure hearing about what you’re upto will be incredibly inspiring for lots of us).

If you think you’re an “ordinary” person but are achieving extra-ordinary things in the fitness world we want to hear from you! To enter the competition (or enter a friend into it) just:

1. Head to our Instagram page @thegymgroup

2. Leave a comment or tag a friend mentioning what sport you are achieving in

3. Keep an eye out on Instagram where we will announce the winners.

The winners of this giveaway will be notified by 30/06/23, but entries will need to be submitted by the 22/06/23. The entries will be reviewed, and the winners picked by a panel of judges at The Gym Group and notified via direct message on social media by @thegymgroup.
