Q: How do I book my induction with The Gym?
A: You can book an induction in the members area.

Q: This is a fantastic offer, what is the catch?
A: There actually is no catch!

Q: What does 'no contract' mean?
A: You are not contractually tied to us for any specified period of time, you can cancel at any time.

Q: Is The Gym really open 24 hours?
A: The Gym is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and when necessary to conduct essential maintenance works to satisfy Health and Safety Requirements. The Gym is open 24 hours on all other days.

Q: Will The Gym be staffed 24/7?
A: The Gym will be monitored via extensive CCTV coverage 24/7 with direct links to Emergency Services. Additionally to this, The Gym will be staffed during the hours of 8am-8pm (Mon-Fri) and 10am-5pm (Sat & Sun)

Q: Will I be issued with a membership card by The Gym?
A: You will be issued with a number that is unique to yourself which will enable you to gain access into the Gym via a keypad.

Q: Will I be shown how to use the equipment?
A: Yes, we provide a free half hour induction in which we will show you how to operate the equipment, should you require this.

Q: Are there changing facilities in The Gym?
A: Yes, we provide showers, lockers and toilets.

Q: Are there lockers?
A: Yes, bring your own padlock or alternatively you can purchase a padlock from our vending machine at The Gym. Lockers are only to be used for the duration of your training session.

Q: Does the facility include sauna, steam, spa and pool?
A: We are offering a high quality, exercise and gym facility with no 'frills and fuss' and therefore have opted not to have a sauna, steam, spa and pool.

Q: Will personal training be available?
A: Yes, this is available at an additional cost either on a one-to-one or group basis.

Q: Is the website secure?
A: Yes, the signup section of the website is secure, and any details entered will be encrypted before being sent to the server.

Q: Can I share or give my PIN number to somebody else to use?
A: Under no circumstances can you give or share your PIN number with anybody else as it is unique to yourself. To protect the interests and ensure the safety of our valued, paying members, offenders will have their membership cancelled. All members entering and exiting the Gym are monitored by CCTV 24/7 to further enhance member safety and prevent PIN number abuse.

Q: How do I cancel my membership?
A: Information on how to cancel your membership with The Gym can be found in the Members Area on our website.

Q: What is the minimum age to join The Gym?
A: You need to be 18 years old to join The Gym.

Q: How do I freeze my membership?
A: You are able to freeze your membership in the Members Area on our website. Please note your membership will be frozen immediately.

Q: How much does it cost to freeze my membership?
A: The cost to freeze your membership is £5 per month.

Q: How do I unfreeze my membership?
A: You can unfreeze your membership in the Members Area on our website. Please allow 10 minutes for your pin number to activate once you unfreeze your membership.

Q: Can I trial The Gym before joining?
A: Yes, you can signup for a single days membership in the Sign Up section on our homepage.

Q: What does 'Waiting List in Operation' mean?
A: Due to unprecedented demand at some of our Gyms, we have had to implement a waiting list. This means that you will not be able to use Gyms operating a waiting list immediately after joining. You are able to see the current waiting period at the start of the signup process.

Q: How do I know when I am released from the waiting list?
A: You will receive an e-mail notifying you that your PIN has been activated. You will also be able to see your current status on the waiting list within the Members Area.

Q: Do you have WIFI access?
A: We do not currently offer WIFI access to keep membership costs at a minimum for our members.

Q: Does The Gym offer Car Parking?
A: Due to the city centre locations of our Gyms we do not offer car parking at all of our sites. However discounted, or free, parking has been arranged at some of our sites. Please visit the members login area on our website for further details for parking at your site.

Q: Do you supply paper towel dispensers to wipe down equipment?
A: As stated In The Gym rules a small gym towel must be carried to wipe down equipment after use as a courtesy to other members. We do not supply paper towels to keep membership costs at minimum for our members. It would also cause unneccessary waste.

Q: Do you offer student discount?
A: Yes, we do if you have a valid NUS extra card and enter the number when you sign up. Please note student discount is not available at sites operating a waiting list.

Q: Can I delay the start of my membership?
A: Yes, If you have an existing gym contract that requires you to give a notice period, you can delay the start of your membership by up to 3 months when you sign up.

Q: Can I use my membership at a different The Gym location?
A: All members have the option to upgrade their membership to The All Gym option by visiting the members area of our website or by selecting The All Gym option when signing up. By choosing this option you will be granted access to all The Gym sites for GBP19.99 per month.

Q: Can I pay by cash or visa card?
A: We unfortunately do not have a cash option. The only way you can set up a full membership is by setting up a Direct Debit, which requires a UK bank account. You are able to purchase daily memberships with a visa card.

Q: When does the first months payment come out of my bank?
A: Your first payment will be collected 14 days after signing up, including the joining fee, and will cover your first months membership at The Gym. Subsequent monthly payments will be debited one month after joining and will continue on or just after the same day of each month thereafter. Please note if you sign up to a site with a waiting list your second payment will be debited one month after your membership is activated and will continue on or just after the same day of each month thereafter.

Q: I haven't received my PIN number?
A: You should receive your PIN number by email shortly after joining. Should you not receive your PIN number or have mislaid it please click on Forgot your login on the top right hand corner of our website and answer the security questions you used when you joined to recover your PIN number.

Q: Why do I have to pay if my Gym hasn't opened yet?
A: By joining early before The Gym opens, you guarantee one of the limited spaces within The Gym. Your payment will be collected 14 days after signing up and will cover your first months membership at The Gym. The next and subsequent monthly payments will commence one month after The Gym opens.
